It’s almost time to spring forward one hour - Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 9th.
We remind everyone to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they change their clocks; Daylight Savings Time provides a convenient reminder! It is estimated that about 1/3 of homes in the United States have smoke detectors with either dead or missing batteries.
So mark your calendars for March 9th to “Spring Forward” and to change your smoke detector batteries.
