The Water Department has recently experienced a rash of vandalism on fire hydrants along Lebanon Road.

Individuals have been opening fire hydrants late at night.  This leads to extreme problems, primarily  low water pressure for residents which also decreases the Fire Department's ability to extinguish fires.  It can also cause severe damage to water lines.  With the weather below freezing, this can lead to treacherous, icy roads and cause damage to property.

As you go about your daily routines, please be cognoscente of the area around you and report any suspicious activity around our fire hydrants to either the Collinsville Police Department at 344-2131, Collinsville Fire Department at 346-5022,  or the Water Department at 346-5219 ext. 113.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Bob Frank

Water/Wastewater Director
