On Friday, October 29, 2010, the Collinsville Police Department responded to a residence on Deer Chase, Collinsville, Madison County, Illinois, after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a relative reporting the resident, Patricia A. McNatt, 41 years of age, had been shot.  The Collinsville Police Department arrived at Patricia McNatt’s residence at aproximately 0019 hours and located Patricia McNatt in her bedroom. 


At this time, it is believed that Patricia McNatt was mortally wounded as a result of multiple .38 caliber gunshots.  The responding Collinsville Police Officers broadcast a description of the suspect, Patricia McNatt’s estranged husdand, Paul J. McNatt, 42 years of age, and a description of Paul McNatt’s vehicle, a white Chevrolet truck.


At approximately 0047 hours, a member of the Collinsville Police Department discovered Paul McNatt’s vehicle in the 2100 block of North 60th Street in Washington Park, St. Clair County, Illinois.  Paul McNatt’s body was discovered inside the vehicle and it is believed Paul McNatt died as a result of a selfinflicted gunshot wound to the head, an apparent murder-suicide.  A .38 caliber revolver was located in Paul McNatt’s possession.



The Madison County Coroner’s Office, the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office, the Illinois State Police assisted the Collinsville Police Department in this apparent murder-suicide investigation.
