Collinsville City Hall was built in 1885 at a cost of $7,975. The building is in the Romantic Italianate style, a style that was popular in the United States from 1840 to 1885. On August 20, 2004, the building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the State of Illinois and the National Park Service, United States Department of Interior.
City Hall office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A wide variety of services are handled by the Customer Service staff including water bill payments and inquiries, voter registration, etc.
Renovation work was recently completed at City Hall with offices moving to other locations within the building. Administration offices, including the offices of the Mayor and City Manager, are located on the second floor of the former Fire Station. Community Development is located in the north bay of the former Fire Station while the City Council Chambers are located in the south bay. The Finance Department has been consolidated in the first floor of City Hall where the Customer Service counter is located.
