Collinsville Police Stepping Up Focus on Holiday Traffic Safety

The Collinsville Police Department will be extra vigilant this holiday season to make sure drivers are buckling up and not driving drunk.  The Police Department has announced that it is participating with the Illinois Department of Transportation's 'Click It or Ticket' campaign, which will be targeting seat-belt violations, speeding and DUI enforcement. 

Collinsville Police are making sure that every person in each vehicle is safely secured with a seat belt or child-restraint system.  Police also want to remind drivers to avoid using cell phones while driving, and to not use cell phones in work zones.
