Collinsville Police Department - Hit and Run Investigation

As you may be aware, the Collinsville Police Department is investigating a hit and run which resulted in the death of a young man. The incident occurred February 10, 2013 at approximately 2:30AM  in the 2000 block of Beltline Road (near Burger King).

Based on the investigation at the scene, we believe that the vehicle involved is a 2004 to 2008 Ford F150 Pickup Truck. We do not have a color at this time. The vehicle will have damage to the front passenger head lamp.  It may have damage to the passenger side as well.  The headlight assembly (as shown in the photos below) should be missing unless it has been replaced.  The specific years of truck we are looking for has the angle on the window sill as shown in the attached pictures below.  The grill should now also appear as shown in the pictures.  There was an aftermarket grill (two photos below) that was left at the scene in case that sounds familiar to anyone.  The aftermarket grill was a snap in chrome plastic attachment.

If the vehicle is located or any information as to the vehicle is developed, please contact the Collinsville Police Department immediately.  If you are uncertain as to if it is the vehicle, please obtain the license plate information and forward it to the police department for us to follow up on.  You may contact Detective Mark Krug at (618) 344-2131, EXT. 5131.
